Free Men Are True Fathers: Father’s Day Read

Only free men can truly live out the promise of fatherhood.

Only free men can lead a generation to the promised land.

Until you are free as a man, you cannot set others on a path of freedom.

God understands that there can be no true worshipper without a free spirit, so He brought the children of Israel out of slavery as tribes and households. He instructed Moses to number each family according to their father’s name to stand with him as they advance further to the nations.

Number 1:2 “Take ye the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, after their families, by the house of their fathers, with the number of their names, every male by their polls.”

Fatherhood is crucial in the allotments of lots, more so in the advancement of destinies.

A free leader is crucial to the advancement of his nation. A free man secures his own life and the lives of his family. The smallest moments of shame and pain a father feels have a lasting impact on a child’s life. So as fathers, we cannot afford to be bound by any elements that constitute shame or failure.

True freedom comes from Jesus.

True freedom starts with your spirit. That is what Jesus did on the cross. He took the weight of sin and guilt off our spirits. Colossians 2:14: “Having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross”

He took the financial freedom requirements of this world out of the way and set us on His path of favor.

The religious system and its requirements for acceptance, forgiveness, and justification. Jesus took it out of the way and made us accepted in the beloved.

Ephesians 1:5–7 “Having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved, In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.”

Freedom demands courage.

But it takes courage to be free and to remain free. Freedom is not for the coward or the faith-hearted. So, if the Son sets you free, you are truly free. John 8:36.

You also need to know the character of your adversary. Your enemy won’t offer favorable terms; it’s not in its nature. You cannot negotiate your freedom from a wicked system, nor should you expect an easy respite or freedom from Satan or his agents. You need to fight until you are free. Now the 10 plagues in Egypt suddenly make sense. God had to burst His children (Israelites) out with a mighty hand.

So, watch out for men who try to put you in servitude. Cultures and creeds that threaten your joy. The religious system that clips your wings while you attempt to fly and those who get irritated because you’re flying too high. Don’t allow these elements to subvert you or deny you the freedom to touch the skies. It’s beautiful to be free.

You are no longer a slave. You are free to live for the glory. Break free with Jesus! He is your life.

As we celebrate Father’s Day, may you step into the freedom Christ has made for you.

HAPPY FATHER’S DAY
